1) Destiny is predefined. Astrology reads your fate. It cannot be changed.

2) We have a freewill. We determine our own destiny.

Both are correct in one sense.
1) Three Karmic imprints:
a) Sanchita Karma (Inherited) = Strongest
b) Prarabdha Karma (Lifetime) = Strong
c) Agami (A+Kam+ya) Karma (Futuristic, Desire-based, will-based, resultant karma) = Weak
